Lighted Corners Literary Magazine View of the Terrace by Katelyn Phelan Open the door to... Lighted Corners, an annual literary magazine devoted to fiction, poetry, art and photography by members of the Mount community. Submissions may be made to Dr. Thomas Bligh, faculty advisor, in AC214, or email: bligh@msmary.edu. Lighted Corners has received numerous awards including several first prizes from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association and the American Scholastic Press Association. Poetry, fiction and photographic works included here span the last several years.

The Mount Gets Creative Lighted Corners represents the Mount through the expressions of students and faculty alike in their works of literature and art. Often touching on aspects of the Mount that evoke the feelings of this comminuty, including the issues of faith, relationships, and current events, these pieces relate the thoughts of the people that make up this community, and are the creative representation of issues that affect those that live, work, and study here. Through the poems, stories, and art pieces, all who read Lighted Corners are invited to discover their own interpretations of these issues and reflect on how they represent the Mount. Save the Date!
