Special ProgramsPi Lambda Theta, International Honor Society and Professional Association in Education Mount St. Mary’s University recognizes those graduating students who are members of Pi Lambda Theta at the Spring Honors Ceremony and graduation activities. Pi Lambda Theta is an international educators’ honor association that promotes scholarship and leadership in the field of education. The university’s chapter, Gamma Tau, holds an initiation ceremony once each spring semester. Nomination for initiation is usually made by current members. To be nominated, a candidate must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 after completing 15 hours of corsework at Mount St. Mary's University and have professional leadership qualities. Pamphlets containing more information can be found on the wall outside the school office. Nominations are considered each December.
