Pi Lambda Theta, International Honor Society and Professional Association in Education

Mount St. Mary’s University recognizes those graduating students who are members of Pi Lambda Theta at the Spring Honors Ceremony and graduation activities. Pi Lambda Theta is an international educators’ honor association that promotes scholarship and leadership in the field of education. The university’s chapter, Gamma Tau, holds an initiation ceremony once each spring semester. Nomination for initiation is usually made by current members. To be nominated, a candidate must have a GPA of at least 3.5 (3.75 for graduate students) and have professional leadership qualities. Pamphlets containing more information can be found on the wall outside the education department office. Nominations are considered each December.

Congratulations to the newest members: we are proud of your achievement!

Dr. Michelle A. Hickman is the chapter advisor.
