Registration for Graduate Programs in Education

Students must register through the Registrar's Office.  Registration documents will be made available to students either via class distribution, mail or online via the Internet. All application materials must be filed prior to registration.  There are only two ways to register:

1.  Complete and submit a registration form in person or by fax.
2.  Go to www.msmary.edu/mountgrad and use the registration form on the webpage.  Be sure to check the box at the bottom of the form and click on the submit button at the bottom of the form.

Any questions regarding this procedure, contact Mary Ann Holden in the Registrar's Office at 301 447 5215 or holden@msmary.edu.

Spring 2010 Course Schedule

Registration by phone will not be accepted.  For MAT queries, contact Laura Corbin Frazier, Coordinator of Teacher Education at 301 447 5371 ext. 4363 or frazier@msmary.edu.  For M.Ed. queries, contact Barbara Martin Palmer, Dean of the School of Education and Human Services at 301 447 5371 ext. 4039 or palmer@msmary.edu.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Because class size is limited, it is important to REGISTER EARLY.

Hard copies of the class schedule will be gladly provided upon request. You may register for an entire semester's sessions (parts I and II) at one time.

New Enrollment Policy

  • Courses that recruit 9 or more students will run as planned.
  • Courses that recruit 6-8 students will be reviewed by the appropriate dean or the vice president for academic affairs two weeks prior to the start of the course. After discussion with the department chair, the dean or vice president will determine whether that course will run or be postponed. He or she will consider factors such as core curriculum, major requirement and elective status.
  • Courses that recruit 1-5 students will be referred by the respective chair to the vice president for academic affairs two weeks prior to the start of the course to determine whether the course will be postponed or offered as a tutorial/independent study. The vice president will consider factors such as core curriculum, major requirement and elective status.
