The COMMUNICATION STUDIES Major 

1.  Total requirements:  36 Credit Hours

       Comm 204 Composition Theory and Practice (3)
       Comm 210 Introduction to Mass Media (3)
       Comm 230 Public Speaking (3)
       Comm 325 Art of Persuasion (3)
       Comm 405 Senior Seminar (fall semester, senior year) (3)

       Plus 21 additional communication studies elective credits, no more that six (not counting practica) at the 200 level; up to 6 elective credits may be interniship and /or practica.

2.  Additional Information

      The 200 level courses are ordinarily taken sophomore year; the 300 level courses junior or senior year.  Comm. 204, 210, and 230 are offered every semester, and 325 every spring, and 405 every fall.

     Internships and practica are strongly recommmended.
