NATIONAL SHRINE GROTTO OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES
National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes
HEALING MASS - FEBRUARY 11
Our Lady of Lourdes Feast Day
Mass of Healing and Anointing of Sick
Feb. 11, Noon
St. Mary's Chapel
Mother of God, you are holding Jesus against your heart. Sustain us in our weakness as we look to the future and perhaps see it darkened by sickness and pain.
The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is given to “the faithful whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or old age.” This impairment may not necessarily be grave or perilous, however care should be taken that the sacrament is not “given indiscriminately or to a person whose health is not seriously impaired” (Pastoral Care of the Sick, 8).

O Queen of the most holy Rosary: with hearts full of confidence we earnestly beseech you to bless the Crusade of the Family Rosary. From you came the grace to begin it. From you must come the grace to win souls to it. We beg you to bless this Crusade so that from every home the incense of this prayer will daily rise before you, O admirable Mother.

Our Lady of Fatima Promises all the Graces Necessary for Heaven if a Catholic Finishes the Five First Saturdays Devotion. "Whether the world has war or peace depends on the practice of this devotion, along with the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This is why I desire its propagation so ardently, especially because this is also the will of our dear Mother in Heaven." -Sr. Lucy (March 19, 1939).

blessed grotto water
The natural spring water is blessed flowing down Mary's Mountain at the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. Although there are no documented miracles, many have reported favors and graces from drinking the Grotto spring water.
At the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, our Grotto staff is the one and only service to package and send our Grotto spring water. You only pay for the decorative bottle, postage and packing; however, we ask you to consider an offering to support the Grotto. Of course, the Grotto spring water is freely available at the Grotto fountain on the holy grounds.
The Grotto spring water is free with our special bottle (1.0 oz.) and the water is collected from the spring on these holy grounds.
Congested traffic is causing a safety concern in the upper parking lot. For your safety, we have closed the lot and will be replacing the area with walkways and gardens.
Drop-off/Pick-up at the Miller Family Visitors Center and transportation to and from the lower parking lot is available!
Please call (301) 447-5318. Read more...
