Accelerated Criminal Justice Degree

If you work in law enforcement, public safety, fraud investigation, juvenile services, intelligence analysis, retail and business security, or want to enter these fields, this program presents a choice opportunity to learn the fundamentals as well as the cutting edge.

Criminal justice, public safety, and security are among the hottest and fastest growing industries. Our nation needs educated and dedicated criminal justice and security professionals, and so do our local employers and institutions. The Mount's degree program will prepare you to become a professional in the field.

Through the Center for Professional and Continuing Education in Frederick, the degree-completion program in criminal justice allows you to earn a bachelor’s degree in an accelerated and flexible format. The courses occur in five-week sessions, one evening per week, on a year-round basis. You can complete your B.A. in criminal justice in two years or less!

Application Requirements:

• Must be 23 years of age and  have worked full-time for three or more years or
• Must have completed 30 or more undergraduate credits
• Obtained a grade point average of 2.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale in previous college work (will need 2.75 to take 300 level education courses)
