Alpha Sigma Lambda inductees

The Mount congratulates the 15 newest members of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society. The students were inducted into the adult student honor society on April 13 during a ceremony at the Frederick campus. They were recognized for achieving academic excellence while balancing competing challenges of work and family life.

This year's inductees include: Bryan Burgee, Susan Champagne Ferretti, Melissa Flohr, Bruce Jackson, II, Mandy Jedlowski, Matthew Keenan, Adam Kisielewski, Joseph Labonte, Amanda Jo Nelson, Lisa Renee Oxendine, Cassie Shriver, Joyce Ann Scott, Shelby Anne Sites, Sale Tunoascanlan, and Bryan Winfrey.

On Friday, September 6, 2013, Dr. Karl Einolf, Dean of the Bolte School of Business, hosted a luncheon for the students and faculty of the Emerging Leaders MBA program at the University's Frederick Campus. The event was a kick-off for the first cohort of students attending the intensive weekend program. Nine students will spend the next twelve months learning leadership skills, strategic decision-making, and effective problem-solving. More photos

Mount St. Mary's University first Fulbright Scholar-in-residence, Olga Shabalina, from South Ural State University in Chelyabinsk, Russia, is scheduled to return home after spending six months teaching marketing at both the Emmitsburg and Frederick campuses. Professor Shabalina lived in Frederick during her stay and spent her free time exploring the area. Light refreshments were served as the Frederick Campus Academic Dean, Gregory Ochoa, thanked her for her leadership.
