Here are some testimonials from the Mount community of how support for the Mount Annual Fund helps "make a difference" in the world:
Christian Owens, C'10, Senior Class Gift Committee "When first asked to join the Senior Class Gift Committee, I was not entirely sure what this opportunity entailed. However, I shortly realized that as a part of this committee, I would be able to bring my classmates together while raising money for our Senior Class Gift. These fundraisers not only made money for our gift, but allowed our classmates to come closer together and to participate in the planning and funding of our Senior Class Gift. Our participation will be forever remembered whenever we put a can in our Mount St. Mary’s “koozies,” wear our Mount v. Loyola T-Shirts, or come back and see the great gift that our class was able to fund. Being a part of the SGC was a great experience that not only helped our class but helped me to give back to the Mount."
Eddie McCullough, C'09, Mount Alum
Eddie McCullough, C’09 needed more than desire to attend the Mount- he needed financial support as well. Thankfully, because of the financial aid package provided by the Mount and the generous endowed scholarship provided by the Richard Bolte family, Eddie was able to begin his freshman year in the fall of 2005. “Loyola College had the small community atmosphere, but they didn’t offer me very much scholarship money,” said Eddie. “Mount St. Mary’s did- and when you are given such a generous scholarship, it really makes you feel like they want you to come here.” None of this would have been possible without the generosity of the Bolte family’s scholarship.
Dr. Mike Miller, Faculty, Philosophy Department
Your gift to the Annual Fund supports excellent teachers such as Mount Professor Mike Miller who knows why our students are making a difference in the world: "Our mission is remarkable, it really stands out from other universities. We set high standards for what it means to be a graduate of the Mount. We want students to be experts in their fields, but we also want them to be truly committed to being leaders in society and to serve people. It's not just about knowledge, it is about a way of living."
Susanne Maruskin, Staff, English/History Department Offices
"The Mount has given so much to me and my family and because I am part of a Mount Community that cares about the top-notch Catholic education our students receive. It is an honor to give back!"
