Welcome to the Advancement Office!
Mount St. Mary’s University is contiunally growing and changing with the times. We are balancing new and renovated spaces with the familiar sights and sounds that bring back the memories of our over two hundred year history.
The Advancement Office knows that the future of Mount St. Mary’s is irrevocably tied to the generosity and energy of our alumni, parents and friends who help to support our mission. We work to ensure the community stays connected to the Mount and to assist you in making lasting connections in a simple and hassle-free way.
Advancement Services is responsible for maintaining The Mount’s alumni and donor databases. This involves processing all gifts and pledges to the University and maintaining the biographic information in our databases. Please contact us at (301) 447-5363 or update your information through our Change of Address form.

The Advancement Office exists in order to foster a community of shared values by garnering philanthropic support for the educational activities of the Mount. The Advancement Office staff carries out this mission:
By communicating Mount St. Mary’s University’s values, achievements, aspirations, and needs to all members of the campus community, as well as to the general public and by facilitating constructive communication among the various members of this community;
By involving community members as volunteers and advocates for the Mount;
By eliciting voluntary commitments of financial support that represent thoughtful investments in the shared values of the Mount community;
By recognizing the best qualities of the Mount and observing the highest standards of personal and professional conduct as articulated in the Statement of Ethics published by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
By serving as catalysts for the articulation and clarification of institutional values and aspirations and sharing responsibility for creating a climate in which the values of the University are interpreted and shared.
