Mass Intentions

It is the custom of the Catholic Church that priests remember specific intentions at the celebration of the Eucharist. Normally, a small offering or stipend (customarily $5 in the Archdiocese of Baltimore) is given for a Mass intention. Anyone can request a particular intention for which a Mass can be offered. Mass cards, to be given to the family of a deceased person for whom a Mass is to be offered or to be given to the living person for whose intentions a Mass is to be offered, are available when requesting a Mass intention. Requests can be made at the Office of Campus Ministry in the lower level of the McGowan Center or by email at campusministry@msmary.edu. 

In addition to specific Mass intentions, special prayer intention books are located at the entrance to each chapel on campus, and the prayers of those books are remembered in a general way whenever Mass is celebrated on campus.
