Andrew Diffenderfer, C'05, known as “Diff” to his classmates and professors, can't get enough of the Mount! As president of the class of 2005, Diff did his share of volunteer work for the Annual Fund. With then SGA president Jen Martin, C'05, he helped plan the senior class gift—the renovation of the Horning Lounge. He now has plenty on his plate with graduate school at the Mount and his graduate assistant position in the Office of Campus Activities.
Although he is just getting on his feet financially, Diff still understands the need for young alumni to make giving to the Annual Fund a habit, even when they can't give very much. “Our gifts, even small ones, are used to improve the university so that its future will be even brighter than the past. The Annual Fund is an important part of what makes the Mount continue to be a top-notch school!”

From March 1-June 30, the first 200 donors of $1,000 to the Mount Annual Fund will have a Bicentennial tree planted on campus in their name. You can do your part to make Mount St. Mary's more beautiful this year by helping support the addition of 200 full-size trees honoring our upcoming 200th anniversary. Become an Alumni Mentor! The National Alumni Association recently introduced the Mount Alumni-Student Mentor Program. Chaired by alumni Bill and Colin Ward, class of 1965 and 1994, respectively, this voluntary program pairs members of the freshman class with alumni mentors to achieve three goals: help students adjust to college life, create networking opportunities as they choose majors and careers, and facilitate a natural transition into the National Alumni Association after graduation.
If you are interested in becoming an alumni mentor, or would like to find out more about the Mount Alumni-Student Mentor Program, please contact the Alumni Office at alumni@msmary.edu.
