St. Joseph College Alumnae Association
During the summer of 1809, a friendship was born in Emmitsburg, MD between St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Fr. John DuBois, S.S. That bond lives on, renewed and strengthened, decade after decade, by their successors and by students from St. Joseph College and Mount St. Mary's University.
Elizabeth and her small band of sisters accepted Fr. DuBois' hospitality and lived for six weeks in his mountain cabin while their first home in the Valley, the Stone House, was readied. In July 2011, some 202 years later, something strikingly similar took place. Mount St. Mary's University welcomed the St. Joseph College Alumnae Association (SJCAA) to our campus. The SJCAA headquarters is located in the Mount's Advancement and Alumni Relations Office, in Bradley Hall.
"There are hundreds of Mount "guys" who have married St. Joe's "gals," and some would argue this partnership has been in the works since St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Fr. John DuBois arrived in Emmitsburg in the early 1800's. we are pleased to be working with the SJCAA and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship."

"We are not joining with or merging into Mount St. Mary's Alumni Association.
We remain and will continue to remain an independent association for the
