There is always a lot going on during Reunion Weekend, and 2008 brings even more special events and activities in honor of the Mount's Bicentennial! Check out the full schedule below and then register online or download a registration form to mail in (the registration form is the last two pages of the document).

Golden Mountaineer Mass & Blessing and Presentation of 50 Year Medals

Immaculate Conception Chapel
The 50 year gold medals will be presented to members of the Class of 1958, and recognition certificates will be presented to members of the Class of 1953. There will also be a blessing of the Bruté Medal recipients and the Bicentennial Medal will be presented to Dick Ridgeway, C’58.

Kick off the weekend by joining alumni from all classes for an evening of memories, music, and Mounties! Bring your yearbooks and photo albums to share.  Featuring a live band performance by “Four on the Floor.” Weather permitting the band will perform out on the McGowan patio. Mount St. Mary’s President Thomas Powell will present an excerpt of “The Spirit Continues,” the documentary produced to celebrate the Mount’s history and her future.  Bicentennial Medals will be awarded to current and former National Alumni Association presidents. Casual attire.

Echo Field (weather permitting)
Bring the whole family for this fun-filled outdoor celebration.  Enjoy food fresh from the grill and music provided by a DJ while catching up with classmates and fellow alumni.  Children will be entertained with face painting and balloon creations by Bubbles the Clown, as well as a moon bounce and other fun games and activities.  Tents and seating are available, but limited, so bring a lawn chair and some sunscreen! Rain location is the ARCC. Picnic lunch served – a la carte. Important: Class pictures will be taken at the Festival (see sidebar for schedule). No BYOB – Maryland State law. Casual attire.

This casual, all-inclusive dinner kicks off the night with a 50’s/60’s themed dinner of beef brisket, BBQ chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, and more. Price includes food and beverages (beer, wine, soda, etc.). A great start to the evening as you get ready for the Greaseband! Rain location is the ARCC. No BYOB – Maryland State law. Casual attire. The Fabulous Greaseband & Fireworks

The Founders Plaza
Spend the evening rocking out to the sounds of the Fabulous Greaseband as they take us all on a trip down memory lane. The Greaseband is a seven member “Best of the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's Rock 'n' Roll Party Band.” Their highly entertaining and energetic delivery of the greatest dance songs ever written has kept the group on top for the last thirty years. Rain location is the ARCC. No BYOB – Maryland State law. Cash bar. Casual attire.

Our class photo will be taken at this picnic and Dr. Powell will come speak. After the afternoon picnic, Tom also plans to serve dinner around 6:30. You can stay as late as you want or meander back to the Mount when the band starts planing around 8 p.m. Due to the generosity of an anonymous classmate there is no cost for the picnic or dinner, but we will pass a hat to tip Tom's wait staff. Parking is available on Grotto Road or at the site of the old gymnasium - a short walk from the Caulfield home.

Echo Field (weather permitting)
Bring the whole family for this fun-filled outdoor celebration.  Enjoy food fresh from the grill and music provided by a DJ while catching up with classmates and fellow alumni.  Children will be entertained with face painting and balloon creations by Bubbles the Clown, as well as a moon bounce and other fun games and activities.  Tents and seating are available, but limited, so bring a lawn chair and some sunscreen! Rain location is the ARCC. Picnic lunch served – a la carte. Important: Class pictures will be taken at the Festival (see sidebar for schedule). No BYOB – Maryland State law. Casual attire.
