FOR CAMPUS HOUSING

Campus housing is limited and we expect it will fill up quickly, so please make your reservation as early as possible. Members of this year’s reunion classes will be given priority for campus housing during Reunion Weekend. Additionally, priority will be given to those alumni staying on campus both Friday and Saturday evenings. The deadline for priority housing is May 1. After this date, campus housing will be open to all alumni attending Reunion.

There are three options for campus housing – the Apartments, Bicentennial Hall, and Sheridan Hall. Classes are assigned to locations based on seniority, class size, and other considerations. If the capacity of Sheridan Hall is exceeded, Pangborn Hall will also be used to house Reunion attendees. Pangborn offers double rooms with two twin beds and shared bathroom facilities by floor.

Things to Know About Campus Accommodations

Services

Remember that campus rooms do not offer hotel amenities, but the following services are available:

  1. Bed linens and towels will be provided to all guests. You may wish to bring an extra blanket or towel, and don’t forget the shower shoes!
  2. Apartments and suites are air-conditioned, but rooms in Sheridan are not, so bringing a small fan is a good idea if the forecast calls for hot weather.
  3. Other items to remember include an alarm clock, reading lamp, and utensils/cooking equipment and ice if you are staying in the Apartments.

Safety & Security

Access to the residence halls will be open during Reunion Weekend, but each room/suite/apartment has an individual lock and keys will only be provided to those guests occupying that room. There will be a $5 charge for lost keys. Public Safety officers patrol the campus, including residence halls, throughout the day and night. If you have an emergency, please contact Public Safety at 301-447-5357 (or x.5357 from a campus phone).

Special Needs

If you require handicap accessible housing, please check the box located on your Reunion Weekend 2008 Housing Reservation Form. If you have other special housing needs, please contact Dale Phillips in the Office of Alumni Relations (301-447-5362).

Check-In & Late Arrivals

Housing check-in will be located at the Reunion Registration Desk in the McGowan Center. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, June 6 and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 7. If you arrive after the Reunion Registration Desk has closed, you will need to go to the Public Safety building to check-in and pick up your room key. Check-out will be from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Sunday, June 8.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted in any building on campus. Smoking is only allowed outdoors, and smokers must remain 15 feet away from buildings and residence halls.

Parking

Please observe all campus parking regulations including no-parking zones and handicap spaces. Ample parking will be available for Reunion attendees in designated lots − please look for signs when you arrive on campus.

Welcome to Bicentennial Hall!

The Mount's newest residence hall was completed in December 2007 and housed students during the Spring 2008 semester. This dorimitory features "suite-style" living, which means that in each unit there are four single bedrooms attached to a common living room and common bathroom.

Each suite features a furnished living room.

Single bedrooms feature one twin bed, a desk, and a dresser.

Bicentennial Hall offers many lounge areas for gatherings.
