Attention Alumni!
Make sure you participate in this year's Alumni Election. You should receive information in the mail with instructions to vote online or request a paper ballot from the Alumni Office.

Position Descriptions

President
Term 2 years (2009 – 2011)

There is one  National Alumni Association President.  The President provides leadership and direction for the National Alumni Association, communicates with Association officers about their responsibilities, plans the schedule of events, and makes appointments to committees as necessary during the four year term.


Vice President
Term 2 years (2009 – 2011)

There are three National Alumni Association Vice Presidents: one Executive Vice President and two Vice Presidents. The candidate who receives the most votes in the election will be named Executive Vice President.

Vice Presidents of the Mount St. Mary's University National Alumni Association play a critical role in helping to foster a positive relationship between the University and her alumni. Each Vice President provides leadership and direction for the National Alumni Association and works closely with the President and represents the University at alumni events in the absence of the President.

Should the President resign or the office otherwise become vacant during the term elected, the Executive Vice President shall immediately succeed to that office and serve as such for the remainder of the term for which the President was elected.


National Alumni Council Member
Term 4 years (2009 – 2013)

Members of the National Alumni Council play a critical role in helping to foster a positive relationship between the University and her alumni. Council members provide leadership and direction for the National Alumni Association and are responsible for the control and management of the affairs of the Association to protect the interest of the general membership.
