Daily Campus Tours
10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Admissions Office offers student-led campus tours most Mondays through Fridays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The 10 a.m. tour lasts approximately 1 hour and showcases the main academic campus. The 2 p.m. tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours and showcases the main academic campus and our athletic facilities. Each tour is followed by a group discussion with an Admissions Representative.
Reservations are strongly encouraged, as space is limited. Register online for a daily campus visit by selecting a date on our scheduling calendar, or call the Admissions Office at 800-448-4347 to make a reservation for an upcoming tour.
Transfer Day, Every Day!
Mary Catherine James, senior associate director and transfer coordinator, welcomes transfer students to meet with her, 1-1 to discuss transfer credits to the Mount. During your meeting, you will have the opportunity to share your story and ask questions with our transfer expert, have your official/unofficial transcripts reviewed (should bring a copy from all institutions you attended), take a tour of our beautiful campus, discuss scholarships and financial aid, and eat on campus if you desire. Your meeting is your time to get your answer. You must call to register and reserve your interview time 800-448-4347.
The Mount welcomes groups of high school students to visit our campus and receive an official tour and an admissions discussion. Group tours can only be accommodated with a prior reservation. To request more information about group visit, please fill out a request form or call Edward Wright, associate director for admissions at 301-447-5214 ext. 4449.
All group visits must be arranged 3 weeks in advance and are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis based on staff availability.
► Preview Events
Designed specifically for prospective students beginning their college search, this program gives students a chance to learn about the Mount's admissions criteria, academics, various campus and social activities and the outcomes of a Mount education. A student-led campus tour will also be offered.
► Founder's Scholarship Competition
The Founder's Scholarship is an on-campus essay competition that gives eligible students the opportunity to contend for one of two full-tuition scholarships. Students who meet certain academic criteria (3.5 or above GPA and 1150 or greater SAT or 25 or higher ACT) will be sent an invitation after all application materials are received and the students have been accepted into the Honors Program. We strongly encourage students who believe they are eligible to send application materials in the fall of their senior year. The day includes breakfast with different Mount community members, the exam for students and various information sessions for parents, a student-led campus tour, and an opportunity to learn more about the Mount's Honors Program. Registration begins at 9 a.m. To register, please contact the Admissions Office or refer to the instructions in the student's invitation.

► Accepted Students Day
A day dedicated to you, the members of the Class of 2019! This program will allow you to meet future classmates, explore academic areas of interest, interact with current students, experience some of the clubs and organizations on campus, and learn how you can continue developing your leadership skills at the Mount. Join us for one more look at the Mount and get all of your last minute questions answered before the May 1 deposit deadline. This program is by invitation only for our accepted students. ► New York Accepted Students Night
Do you want one more chance to learn about the Mount right in your own backyard before the May 1 deadline? This event is tailored to high school seniors and their families in the Long Island area. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about what makes the Mount a unique place to go to school. Admissions representatives and guest speakers will be on hand to talk with you about academics, financial aid, athletics, campus ministry and more. Registration will take place from 7-7:30 p.m. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. and last approximately one hour.
► A Day at the Mount
Accepted high school seniors are invited to shadow a current Mount freshman and attend classes in our Veritas program during this one-day program. Parents will attend presentations from different departments on campus including admissions, financial aid, academics, career center, public safety, residence life, center for student diversity, and campus ministry. Lunch will be provided, and an optional student-led campus tour will be offered at the conclusion of the program. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m.
► Home School Program
Designed specifically for home school students, this program will not only showcase Mount St. Mary's University, but also highlight our commitment to home schooling. With presentations focusing on the value of a liberal arts education and campus life, families will also have the opportunity to meet with a current Mount St. Mary's student who was home schooled. A student-led tour of campus will be offered at the conclusion of the program. Registration begins at 1 p.m. Approximate length of program is three hours.
► Meet the Mount Mornings
Do you want to learn more about the Mount in person before driving to campus? These events are tailored to high school students and their families in the New York area. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about what makes the Mount a unique place to go to school. Admissions representatives and guest speakers will be on hand to talk with you about academics, financial aid, athletics, campus ministry, and more. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the program will conclude by 12:00 noon.
► Meet the Mount Nights
Do you want to learn more about the Mount in person before driving to campus? These events are tailored to high school students and their families in the New York area. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about what makes the Mount a unique place to go to school. Admissions representatives and guest speakers will be on hand to talk with you about academics, financial aid, athletics, campus ministry, and more. Registration begins at 7 p.m. and the program will conclude by 8:30 p.m.
► Mount 2000 Admissions Program
We are happy to partner with the Seminary and Mount 2000 this year to offer participants an opportunity to tour our campus. Participants in Mount 2000 may register for a student-led campus tour and an information session conducted by an admissions representative. Registration will begin at 1 p.m., and the program will last approximately 2.5 hours.
► Mountaineer Visits
Designed specifically for students and families beginning the college search, these group sessions include a presentation with information about academic programs, student life, athletics, admissions, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities, followed by a student-led campus tour. Choose from the morning session, which begins with registration at 9:30 a.m., or the afternoon session, which begins with registration at 1:30 p.m.
► Overnight Experience
Accepted High school seniors are invited to experience the Mount firsthand during this Sunday to Monday program. Visiting students will be hosted by current Mount freshmen and will have the opportunity to attend first-year classes in our Veritas program during the day on Monday. Host and student match ups are made based on gender and availability of hosts. On Monday, parents will attend presentations from different departments on campus including admissions, financial aid, academics, career center, public safety, residence life, center for student diversity, and campus ministry. An optional student-led campus tour will be offered at the conclusion of the program.

► Sunday Visits
Designed specifically for students and families beginning the college search process, Sunday Visits are offered on select weekends throughout the fall and spring. These programs include an information session with our highly trained and qualified student leaders, a student-led campus tour, along with the option to eat lunch in our dining hall and/or attend Mass at the Grotto. (Noon Mass normally ends after 1 p.m., so we encourage any family interested in attending Mass to register for the 2:30 p.m. session.) *Participants can choose from scheduled discussions at 1 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. A guided tour will follow each discussion time and last approximately 45 minutes.
