Visit the Mount!

Admissions campus visit programs are listed below.  Online registration is available by clicking on the "register online" link next to the program you wish to register for.


Spring Open House (Register Online)
Designed specifically for high school juniors and seniors who wish to see an up close view of Mount St. Mary's campus community. The program will consist of a student panel discussion, Financial Aid/Admissions workshop for parents and a College Workshop for students. The college workshop will introduce students to the college search/selection process. A campus tour, guided by one of our Mount Ambassadors, will be offered to students and their families during this time. Aproximate length of program 3 1/2 hours.

Sunday Visits (only one day left in the program!)
Now through November 23rd 2008, the Mount is open for campus tours, information sessions, and noon Mass at the Grotto on Sundays. The Admissions Office is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on these Sundays, with scheduled tours at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.  Please call 1-800-448-4347 to set up an appointment, or email Alex Rehm at arehm@msmary.edu. Walk-ins will be accommodated, but appointments are preferred.  Please Note:  Only 1 more sunday is left in the Fall Sunday Program!

Saturday Visit (November 15th) Program

On Saturday, November 15th, we will be offering interested students and their families a chance to come to Mount St. Mary's for a tour and discussion.  Families who wish to participate in this event should contact Brenda Rigby at 301-447-5214.

Explore the Mount Information Session (Register Online)
An overview of The Mount including a presentation on Admissions criteria, Academic areas of study, unique programs and qualities of Mount St. Mary's, the program will conclude with a guided campus tour. Aproximate length of program 2 hours.

Junior Exploration Day (Register Online)
Like the "Explore The Mount" program, Junior Exploration Day gives interested students a chance to learn about our Admissions criteria, the academic programs offered, what makes Mount St. Mary's so special, as well receive a campus tour.  This event is for High School Juniors.

Discovery Day (Register Online)
An overview of The Mount including a presentation for parents on the admissions criteria, academic areas of study, financial aid,  student life and career center offerings.  Students will shadow a current Mount student and attend classes during the day.  An optional campus tour will be offered at the conclusion of the program.  Aproximate length of program 4 hours.

Day in the Life (Register Online)
An overnight visit opportunity for high school seniors to experience the Mount first hand through the eyes of a current student. Students will be hosted by a current Mount student and attend classes during the day on Monday. Parents are welcome to attend an information program on Monday morning about academic areas of study, financial aid,  student life and career center offerings.  An optional campus tour will be offered at the conclusion of the program on Monday.  Registration will take place Sunday evening with the program concluding Monday afternoon at 2pm.

Academic Major Day
An excellent opportunity for students who have been accepted to Mount St. Mary's University to experience the academic, athletic, spiritual, and social aspects of the Mount; all in one great day!  While attending this program, you and your family will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session on each academic major, explore extracurricular (athletics, clubs, etc) options the Mount offers, have light refreshments, and attend an optional mass.  The day will conclude with a Financial Aid Forum for parents and an activity for students.

Daily Campus Tours are also available Monday - Friday at 10am 1pm and 3pm during the academic year. Reservations are strongly encouraged, as space is limited. Please call 1-800-448-4347 today and make your plans to visit Mount St. Mary's.  Aproximate length of tour 1 hour.

Campus Spring Break
February 28th - March 8th is the Spring Break for our campus.  Interested families are welcome to schedule tours or interviews with our conselors during this time.  Most families, however, prefer to come to visit when the campus is more active so that they can experience first hand the exciting atmosphere of the Mount.
