The financial aid office has received information on the following outside scholarships. Below are requirements, if any, for each scholarship as well as details on how to apply. If you have questions about any of the items listed, please contact us and we will try to answer them. Please note any posted deadlines! (Listings are in deadline order.)
BigSun Scholarship
The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.
Deadline - June 22, 2012
Amount of Award - $500.00
The successful applicant will be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution or in the community..

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program
Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased to be able to continue with our scholarship program for the 5th year.
We will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year.

ENTER OUR COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Applicants must be a member of COMSTAR Federal Credit Union. You must be entering your freshman through senior year of college. Your 750-word (or less) essay or 60-second (or less) video will serve as the basis of our $11,000 in scholarship awards.

“B. Davis Scholarship”
The creators of the “Student Award Search Aid” website are offering a scholarship for 2012.

The Arc of Carroll County:
The Timothy J. Atkinson Memorial Scholarship: One award is made each year to a student who resides in Carroll County, MD and intends to enter a field that will assist or advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The amount of the award will be $1000. Eligible candidates must be a Carroll County resident and must be accepted for admission or currently be attending as a full-time student at an accredited college or university in pursuit of a related degree. Applications must be received by April 1st to be considered.

Central Scholarship Bureau’s Online Scholarship
Over $1 million in funding available for undergraduate, graduate, professional, and vocational study In 2012-2013, Central Scholarship will provide over $1 million in funding for undergraduate and graduate study as well as for career training.
The applications will be available at www.centralsb.org.
The final deadline to submit the online application is April 1, 2012.
Semi-finalists will be contacted by e-mail in May to request supporting documentation. Award decisions will be announced in early July.
Each scholarship has slightly different eligibility requirements. Specific details for each program can be found in the drop-down menus on our website.
Our loans are completely interest-free through the life of the loan--you pay back exactly the amount you borrow. Please also note that due to limited funding, loan awards are competitive.
A student may receive up to $10,000 per year in any combination of scholarships and loans.

Watson-Brown Scholarship
The Watson-Brown Foundation wants to award 200 college scholarships to students who will love and appreciate them. Online scholarship application now available:

Completed scholarship applications should include:

Cynthia E. Morgan Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship awards $1000 to a Maryland high school or college student who is a first-generation college student, and attending (or will attend) a Maryland college (or medical school) with a major in a medical related field.

Baltimore Community Foundation
Common Application now open online at www.bcf.org/Scholarships.
Completed Scholarship Applications with all supporting materials should be submitted no later than April 2, 2012. Applications which are posted on the web portal after the April 2, 2012 deadline will not be considered by BCF.

The Polish Heritage Association of Maryland, Inc. – Undergraduate 2012 scholarship
The Polish Heritage Association of MD will be providing several scholarships to undergraduate students for the year 2012-2013. To qualify, applicant must currently be a 4th year high school student or a full-time college student, a legal resident of Maryland, and have at least two Polish ancestors. Students must attend an accredited college or university in the U.S. Selection will be primarily made on the basis of financial aid. Additional evaluation will focus on academic standing, leadership potential, and pride of your Polish heritage.
