Minimum Eligibility Requirements for Mount St. Mary's Students

Financial aid eligibility differs depending upon the degree program in which you are enrolling. Please select your student type below to determine your minimum eligibility for financial aid.

Undergraduate Student

Continuing Studies Student

Graduate Student

Minimum Eligibility Requirements for Undergraduate Students

To receive Mount St. Mary's University grants, scholarships, and other awards, a student must:

►Enroll Full-time (at least 12 credits)

►Be accepted into a degree program of study

►Be seeking a first Bachelor's Degree

►Be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen

►Be making satisfactory academic progress according to the University's requirements for each program

To receive Title IV federal and state grants, loans, and work programs, a student must:

►Enroll at least part-time (at least 6 credits)

►Be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen

►Be accepted into a degree program

►Be seeking a first Bachelor's Degree

►Not be in default on any previous loan or owe a refund on any previous grant

►Be making satisfactory academic progress according to the University's requirements

►Not be convicted for posession of sale of drug (federal programs only)

Minimum Eligibility Requirements for Continuing Studies Students

To receive Title IV federal aid and state aid a student must:

►Enroll at least part-time (6 credits)

►Be accepted into a degree-seeking program

►Be seeking a first Bachelor's Degree

►Be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen

►Not be in default on any previous loan or owe a refund on any previous grant

►Be making satisfactory academic progress according to the University's requirements for each program

►Not be convicted for posession of sale of drug (federal programs only)

Minimum Requirements for Graduate Students

To receive Title IV federal loans, a student must:

►Be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen

►Accepted into a degree program or teacher certification

►Not be in default on any previous loan

►Be making satisfactory academic progress according to the University's requirements

►Not be convicted for posession of sale of drug (federal programs only)
