Types of Aid
The Mount continues its commitment to making college affordable for students and their families. In addition to need-based aid, the university awards numerous academic scholarships. All undergraduate admissions applicants are automatically reviewed for these merit awards and the decisions are made without any reference to the application for financial aid. All admitted freshmen are guaranteed merit-based aid in the form of Academic Scholarships.
Our need-based program is designed to provide assistance to families whose resources cannot meet the full cost of educational expenses. Therefore, financial aid is designed to be a supplement to you and your family's best efforts to contribute to your education. The amount and type of financial aid that a student receives is determined through federal and state guidelines and is offered to students in combinations of award packages which may consist of grants, loans, and employment designed to help students meet educational expenses.
