Robert Brennan
Vice President for Advancement
Bob is a 1985 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a B.S. in Business and Finance. Prior to joining the Mount, Bob worked as the Executive Director of Foundation for Physical Therapy. His professional background includes 24 years of senior management specializing in the implementation of programs that increase awareness and support of mission-based organizations. 

Megan Morrison

Megan received her B.S. in Speech Communication from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Prior to joining the Mount, Megan worked as a Receptionist for Mercersburg Hair Studio.

Jennifer received her B.A. in Communication and Literature from Juniata College in 2009. Prior to joining the Mount, Jennifer worked as an Admissions Representative for Bryant University. She is currently enrolled in MBA classes at the Mount. 

Erica Chukala

Erica is a 2010 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Spanish. Prior to joining the Mount, Erica worked as an Intern for the Admissions Office. While completing her undergraduate degree at the Mount, she worked as a student worker for the Admissions Office and Learning Services. Erica is currently enrolled in MBA classes at the Mount. 

Angelia Hamlin

Angie received her MBA from Mount St. Mary’s University in 2000. She earned her B.A. in Social Work and Counseling from University of Maryland. Prior to joining the Mount, Angie worked as the Director of Development for Mother Seton School. 

Charles Kuhn

Library
Charles received his M.S. in Library Science from Catholic University of America. He earned his B.A. in History from Shippensburg University. Prior to joining the Mount, Charles worked as a Library Director for Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. Charles professional background includes over 30 years of experience in academic library operations. 

Paul Manuel
Director of the Institute for Leadership Studies & Professor of Political Science
Dr. Manuel received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Government from Georgetown University. He earned a Masters in Theological Studies from Weston Jesuit School of Theology and a Masters of Arts in International Relations from Boston University. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Boston University. Prior to joining the Mount, Dr. Manuel worked as the Director of Academic Affairs for the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, and held a Research Fellow appointment at the Berkley Center for Religion and World Affairs at Georgetown University.

Barbara Marinak
Associate Professor of Literacy
Dr. Marinak received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction: Literacy Education from University of Maryland. She earned her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Pennsylvania State University, and her B.A. in Speech, Language and Hearing Science from Temple University. Prior to joining the Mount, Dr. Marinak worked as an Assistant Professor for Penn State Harrisburg and a Research Extension Specialist, Institute of Education Services for Pennsylvania State University and Rutgers University.

Katherine McDonagh

Katherine is a 2011 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a B.A. in Science International Studies. While completing her undergraduate degree at the Mount, Katherine worked as a Communications Intern for Catholic Mobilizing Network from July 2010 to December 2010.

Angela Mucci

Angela is a Doctorate of Philosophy candidate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Florida. She received her M.A. in Special Education from University of South Florida, and earned her B.A. in Special Education from University of St. Francis. Angela also received her A.A. in Arts from Illinois Valley Community College. Prior to joining the Mount, Angela worked as a Lecturer for University of South Florida.

Alfred Mueller
Professor/Chair of Communication Studies

Dr. Mueller received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Communication Studies from University of Iowa. He earned his BA, a triple major in Communication Studies, History, and Philosophy from Wilkes University. Prior to joining the Mount, Dr. Mueller worked as an Interim Assistant Director of Academic Affairs for Penn State Mont Alto.

Solomon Tesfu

Dr. Solomon received his Ph.D in Economics from Georgia State University. He earned his M.Sc. in Economics and a BA in Economics from Addis Ababa University. Prior to joining the Mount, Dr. Solomon worked as a Post-doctoral Researcher for Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.

Julia Parker

Julia received her Master of Theological Studies and M.A. in Church Music from Trinity Lutheran Seminary. She earned her third Masters in Music Education (Choral) from University of South Carolina and her B.A. in Organ from Newberry College. Prior to joining the Mount, Julia worked as the Director of Music/Liturgy for St. Edward the Confessor Church.

John Williams

John is a 2009 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a M.A. in Philosophy. He earned his B.A. in Social Sciences from Chapman University. Prior to joining the Mount, John worked as the Dean of Residents for Georgetown Preparatory School.

Prior to joining the Mount, Kevin worked as a Chief Maintenance Engineer for Days Inn in Westminster, MD. Kevin also worked as a General Contractor for members of the community. His professional background includes nine years of maintenance engineering and general contracting experience.

Prior to joining the Mount, Bradley worked as a Groundsworker for Gettysburg Area School District.

Kevin Kritsberg

Kevin received his B.S. in Marketing from York College of Pennsylvania. He earned his AAS Double Major in Golf Course Maintenance & Turf and Landscape Maintenance from Clark State Community College. Prior to joining the Mount, Kevin worked as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent for Little Bennett Golf Course in Clarksburg, MD.

Edward Miller

Edward rejoined the Mount as a Part-time Custodian in 2011. He previously worked for the Mount as an On-call Custodian. Edward is a 2010 graduate of Fairfield High School.

Jamie Ruck

Prior to joining the Mount, Jamie worked as a Delivery Driver for Lowes. He has taken Engineering & Accounting courses at Hagerstown Community College.

Marie received her Masters of Letters degree from Drew University in 2008. She earned her B.A. in Education, with a minor in Theatre from Goucher College. Prior to joining the Mount, Marie worked as the Site Supervisor for Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA in New Jersey. She also worked for Drew University as the Assistant Director of Annual Giving.

Patricia is a 1996 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a B.S. double major in Accounting and Business & Finance, with a minor in Economics. Prior to joining the Mount, Patricia worked as the Treasurer/Benefits Manager St. James Lutheran Church.

Christian earned his M.S. in Counseling and College Student Personnel from Shippensburg University in May 2011. He received his B.S./B.A. in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice from DeSales University in 2008. Prior to joining the Mount, Christian worked as a Residence Director for Shippensburg University.

Scott Biesecker

Scott received his B.S. in Administration Justice from Pennsylvania State University. He also earned a Teaching Certificate in Social Studies from Shippensburg University. Prior to joining the Mount, Scott worked as an Associate Head Coach for University of New Orleans. His professional background includes more than twelve years of experience in coaching.

Darryl received his B.S. in Physical Education from Towson State University. Prior to joining the Mount, Darryl worked as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach for Jacksonville University. His professional background includes fifteen years of experience in coaching.

Heather received her B.S. in Recreational & Leisure Studies (Sport & Event Management) from Shepherdstown University, WV in 2010. She earned her AA in General Studies at Hagerstown Community College. Prior to joining the Mount, Heather worked as a Head Lifeguard/Aquatic Instructor/Front Desk Manager for Leesburg Parks & Recreations. Heather also worked as an YMCA Aquatic Instructor in Hagerstown, MD. Heather’s professional background includes 11 years of recreational experience.

Prior to joining the Mount, Rachel worked as a Residence Life Coordinator for Towson University. Her professional background includes 6 years of experience in training and development of professional and paraprofessionals.

Brianna Gauthier

Brianna is a 2009 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a B.A. in Sports Management. Prior to joining the Mount, Brianna worked as the Assistant Basketball Coach for Norwich University in Northfield, VT. In 2010, Brianna was hired as a Part-time Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach, then later transitioned to full-time July 2011.

Laura Hullett

Laura received her B.A. in Social Science and Business from Nazareth College of Rochester. Prior to joining the Mount, Laura worked as a Logistics Supervisor for Ann Marie Rose Jewelry. She is also an active member and volunteer at St. John’s Parish in Westminster, MD.

Christine received her Masters in English Education from the State University of New York in 2010. She earned her B.A. in English from St. Bonaventure University. Prior to joining the Mount, Christine worked as a Student Teacher at Lockport High School in New York.

Greg is a 2010 Graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a B.S. in Communications. Prior to joining the Mount, Greg worked as a student worker for the IT Helpdesk for three years while completing his undergraduate degree at the Mount.

Benjamin received his A.A. in Computer Information Systems, Database Analyst from Harrisburg Area Community College in May 2011. Prior to joining the Mount, Benjamin worked as an IT Assistant while completing his associate degree at HACC.

Sherlene is a 2010 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a B.A. in International Business and Economics. While completing her undergraduate degree at the Mount, she worked as a Student Worker for the Library and a Resident Assistant. Sherlene is currently enrolled in MBA classes at the Mount.

Barbara Lucey

BJ received her Master of Education in Physical Education from the College of New Jersey in 2005. She earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining the Mount, BJ worked as an Assistant Lacrosse Coach for Penn State University. Her professional background includes 8 years of coaching experience.

Bryce McGuire

Prior to joining the Mount, Bryce worked as a Laborer for Labherd Builders. Bryce has taken criminal justice courses at Shenandoah University and Frederick Community College.

Kayla Miller

Kayla is a 2010 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a B.S. in Education. Prior to joining the Mount, Kayla worked for MacDonald Cleaning Company and Appalachian Brewing Company. As an undergraduate, she was the Cheerleading Captain at the Mount. 

Catherine Woryk

Prior to joining the Mount, Catherine worked as a Bus Driver for Littlestown School District. She also worked for the National Security Agency as a Security Protective Officer, Archival Management from 1987-1996. 

Jane Zimmerman

Jane rejoined the Mount in February 2011. Her first term of employment at the Mount was for 7 years as an Administrative Assistant for Recreational Services. Jane previously worked as a Substitute Teacher for the Hanover Public Schools System.
