The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland invites computer scientists to apply for a tenure-track or continuous contract appointment in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science starting in August 2016. The successful candidate is expected to possess a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in computer science (Ph.D. preferred) and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to the campus community. Computer scientists in all fields are encouraged to apply, but experience or expertise in data science or cybersecurity are preferred. In addition to courses within the major, the faculty member will teach in the Veritas Program, our common liberal arts curriculum. Successful candidates will share our commitment to the dignity and solidarity of all persons and the value of intercultural understanding.
