The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics at Mount St. Mary's University invites outstanding teacher-scholars to apply for a tenure track appointment in computer science starting in August 2014. The successful candidate is expected to possess a Ph.D. in computer science or a Ph.D. in mathematics with graduate work in computer science and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to the campus community. He/she will teach courses in computer science at both the introductory and advanced levels. Applicants with expertise in computer security, operating systems, and networking are particularly encouraged to apply. In addition to courses within the major, the faculty member will contribute to the Veritas Program, our common liberal arts curriculum, by teaching the core mathematics course: Mathematical Thought and Problem Solving.
