Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry (Job Search Status: Currently Accepting Resumes)
The Department of Science in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics at Mount St. Mary's University invites outstanding teacher-scholars to apply for a tenure-track appointment in Analytical Chemistry starting in August 2014. The successful candidate should possess a Ph.D. in Chemistry and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to the campus community. The applicant is expected to engage in peer-reviewed scholarship that encourages the involvement of undergraduates. Applicants from all chemistry-related disciplines, especially those with interdisciplinary experience, are encouraged to apply. The primary teaching responsibility will be Analytical Chemistry and Instrumental Analysis as well as a chemistry elective. Additionally, the faculty member will be expected to provide support to the General Chemistry sequence and the General Science program for non-majors as needed.
