The following websites and journals provide additional information about the impact of service-learning:
A summary of findings of service-learning research in higher education from 1993-2000. This also includes an annotated bibliography. It is designed to provide a quick overview of service-learning today and a map to the literature.
CART is organized into three main domains or categories of variables: Design and Implementation, Contact, and Outcomes. It is assumed that in order to conduct a high quality study, one would need to understand some components of each of these main categories of variables to answer questions about efficacy and effectiveness of a youth development program. Within each of these sections, there are multiple attributes or properties that could be assessed.
The Learn and Serve America National Service-Learning Clearinghouse (NSLC) supports the service-learning community in higher education, kindergarten through grade twelve, community-based initiatives and tribal programs, as well as all others interested in strengthening schools and communities using techniques and methodologies.
