Pope Benedict has called all nations to work to repeal the death penalty. New York, New Jersey,New Mexico, and Illinois recently ended the death penalty. Maryland is poised to do so, moving the nation closer to repeal.
Come to a two-day conference that focuses on the role Catholics can play in building this momentum toward repeal. You will hear powerful stories from murder victims' family members, innocent persons wrongly sentenced to death, and chaplains serving on death row. You will learn about the Catholic position on the death penalty. You will leave with better understanding of and deeper commitment to central Catholic beliefs.
