Experience the intersection of faith, action and intellect.

As a theology department in the Catholic tradition, we prepare students to participate as active and critical adults in the long, diverse and continuing conversation that is the Catholic intellectual and spiritual heritage.

Of course, our commitment to the Catholic heritage includes a broader context necessary for open discourse. At the Mount, you will learn and share insights about other spiritual and theological traditions, both Christian and non-Christian.

Many of our theology majors go on to careers in clerical, lay and youth ministry after their involvement in the Mount’s extraordinary faith-related activities.

Get ready to explore:

  • Questions of ultimate meaning
  • The role of tradition in questioning
  • The relationship between faith and reason
