Take your Mount psychology major beyond the classroom!

Applying Your Knowledge

All psychology majors choose, conduct and present a data-based senior research project. Mount students have made presentations at the Eastern Psychological Association annual meeting and have conducted senior projects such as:

  • Creative thinking in autistic, mentally retarded and normal children and adults
  • Gender, personal space boundaries and comfort level
  • Matrilineal advantage in grandparent-grandchild relationships
  • One-year anniversary effects of September 11, 2001
  • Parenting styles and perceptions of eating in high school females with eating disordered behavior
  • Acetylcholine release in the hippocampus and striatum during place learning
