The Mount Mock Trial Team Mock trial is a college team that plays out the roles in a hypothetical case. The cases are provided by the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) so that all college teams around the country are using the same materials. During competition, students play the roles of witnesses and attorneys for both the plaintiff/prosecution and for the defense. Involvement on the Mount Mock Trial Team can help you practice your public-speaking and performing skills, learn to think on your feet, learn rules of evidence and courtroom procedures, and develop analytical thinking skills, all in a fun atmosphere! |
