From regional competitions to research, as a Mount economics student, you’ll always have opportunities to apply your knowledge. Our students routinely participate in the Federal Reserve Challenge, an intercollegiate monetary policy contest. The Mount often places well and was the 1999 Fed Challenge Team Champion. Work closely with a faculty mentor on research, whether on eBay bidding strategies or the macroeconomic efficiency of European Union countries. In addition, regional and national employers regularly host Mount students as interns.

Develop your leadership skills and professional connections through several department-sponsored societies and clubs. All have active programs of outside speakers, career nights, social activities and service projects. Campus opportunities include
