Learning Services

Archbishop Borders Hall

Learning Services coordinates academic support services, including peer tutoring, study halls, and individual academic support for all students.

Learning Services Mission

Learning Services is committed to supporting the academic development of all students within our campus community, regardless of disability or academic challenge, by creating a purposeful, learner centered environment that inspires academic discovery. We empower all members of the Mount Community to become confident lifelong leaders and learners.

Learning Services' goals are to:

  • Improve student academic achievement through supplemental “learn-to-learn” activities.
  • Increase student retention, especially during the student’s first year.
  • Deliver academic support services in a personalized, supportive, respectful, and confidential manner.

LEARNING SERVICES NEWS:

The Learning Services Peer Tutoring Program has now received Level I Certification through the College Reading and Learning Association's International Tutor Training Program Certification!  We are now an internationally certified Peer Tutoring Program, and many of our tutors will be able to receive individual certifications as well.  We are happy to celebrate this milestone in our department and will continue working to make the Peer Tutoring Program and all of Learning Services the best that it can be!
