The Master of Education program is designed for certified teachers seeking a graduate degree in Technology Facilitation or Reading. Click on each study option below for the degree requirements. M.Ed. students will be required to complete a research project and thesis, as individually determined and pursued by the student, in consultation with a research tutor from the faculty. M.Ed. with a concentration in Technology Facilitation Assists educators and school administrators in using computer technology and media to enhance teaching and learning. Students will explore computer graphic design for the classroom, advanced hypermedia and current trends in web-based instructional design. M.Ed. with a concentration in Reading Emphasizes teaching the English Language Learner. The concentration leads to advanced certification as a reading specialist, K-12, from the Maryland State Department of Education.
