Mount St Mary's University Accelerated and Weekend Programs Application for Admission

Available Financial Aid
Students may seek financial assistance through federal and state-funded programs. To qualify for financial aid, students registered for a minimum of 2 courses during each traditional semester (3 5-week courses). Most financial aid will be in the form of deferred student loans, though some students may be eligible to receive grants.

Procedures For Applying For Assistance: See attached Financial Aid Information Sheet.

  1. Complete the current year Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and mail to the Fed. Processing Center.
  2. Contact each previously attended college/university and request that Financial Aid Transcripts be sent to the MSM Financial Aid Office. This is required regardless of whether you have received aid at the prior institution or not.
  3. Complete a Stafford Loan Application. Students may borrow up to their cost of attendance, not to exceed $7500 a year for sophomores and $10,500 for juniors and seniors. The current interest rate is just under 7%, and the principal is deferred until six months after termination of studies. Completed forms should be sent to the MSM Financial Aid Office.
