Applying Your Knowledge

Mount math majors have participated annually in the international Mathematical Contest in Modeling, sponsored by the Consortium for Mathematics. Our teams have garnered two outstanding ratings and many meritorious and honorable mention ratings for their solutions to the open-ended, real world problems presented. The Mount also hosts a student chapter of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) and the Maryland Eta Chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics honor society.
