Join the Environmental Club, which has taken a leadership role in re-instituting a recycling program on campus. Attend a presentation by a visiting speaker. Meet nature face to face through the Mount’s Outdoor Adventure program. Or work side by side with a faculty member on a research project. At the Mount you’ll find several ways to get involved and exchange ideas with others who share a deep concern for our environment.

Mount student Calli Lear, majoring in biology with a minor in environmental studies, enjoys a caving trip sponsored by the Outdoor Adventure program.

The Mount's Environmental Club single-handedly recycled newspaper, aluminum, plastic, and glass on campus until the institutional recycling program was re-instated in January 2006.
