Biography

Dr. McGovern came to the Mount from BGSU in Ohio in August 2005. She earned tenure in 2011 and has been chair of the department since July 2012. Dr. McGovern is also the university's faculty athletic representative, a faculty marshal, vice-chair of the faculty, serves as co-chair of a committee on Middle States and chair of the Athletic Advisory Committee. She volunteers at the Gettysburg Police Department and the Heritage Festival in Gettysburg.
