Biography

Elizabeth Holtry began teaching at Mount St. Mary's in 2001. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and art centers, including: Hillyer Art Space (Washington DC), The Delaplaine Fine Arts and Education Center (MD), The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts (DE) and The Jones Center for Contemporary Art (TX). Her satirical paintings and embroidered drawings address prejudicial attitudes toward unpopular fauna, such as hyenas, rats and insects.
