Prayers From the Mount
Throughout the last few days, the national news has been filled with news and stories of people and communities who have been touched by hardship and tragedy surrounding Hurricane Sandy.
During this historic storm, we pray for many of you who are experiencing challenges and adversity; and ask that you keep our students, the Mount Community and your fellow alumni in your thoughts and prayers.
For all Mount alumni, families and friends living in the path of this devastating storm, sheltering and recovering from the intense rain and devastation much of the east coast is still experiencing; please know that you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers as you rebuild and recover.
During difficult times, it is important that every Mount Alumnus know that you are now and will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
Prayer for Shelter Against the Storm
God of heaven and earth, God who carries our lives and the lives of our whole community in your hands, be with us in the peril of this day and night. Help us to release our anxieties and fears into those same caring hands, knowing in faith that your will for us is life and everlasting good. Send your holy angels to watch over us and guard us. May they spread their holy wings to give us shelter against the storm.
For you alone, O God, are all good, all life, all love, and that love is for us; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
► Submit your prayer intentions for those in need. Prayer intentions will be offered at Noon Mass on Fridays throughout November.
