Occupational or Physical Therapy
Gain both professional knowledge and skills you can use in any career—writing, reasoning, critical thinking and ethics—by combining a physical or occupational therapy program with a solid liberal arts foundation.
Through our dual-degree program with Sacred Heart University, you can earn degrees from both institutions in six years.
If you are pursuing a career as a physical therapist, your education will begin with three years at the Mount as a biology major. You’ll get the hands-on experience—and laboratory time—other students at larger universities have to fight for. Plus, you’ll start using our state-of-the-art facilities and resources right away. Upon completion of the program, you will hold a bachelor's from the Mount and a Ph.D. from Sacred Heart.
If you are pursuing a career as an occupational therapist, you may combine any Mount major with Sacred Heart’s occupational therapy program. Upon completion of the program, you will hold a bachelor's degree from the Mount and a master's from Sacred Heart.
Our graduates are known for their abilities in scientific research and inquiry as well as their understanding of ethical and moral issues that concern our society.
