2. Additional information
An additional 20 hours in biology must be taken at Johns Hopkins to complete the requirements for the Mount degree in biology. Students must also take Nutrition (which is not currently offered at the Mount) at another institution in summer school or online.
Fulfillment of the college math proficiency requirement (math SAT of 530 or higher) is a prerequisite for CHEM 101. Students who do not meet this requirement are encouraged to complete the equivalent of MATH 102 prior to their first semester at the Mount. Students who do not fulfill this requirement prior to matriculation should enroll in MATH 102 in the fall semester of their freshman year. These students may take CHEM 101 and MATH 102 concurrently; however, this will result in a 17-credit load. Any student may choose to postpone CHEM 101 until the sophomore year, in which case the full Ren/Rev cluster should be taken in the spring of the freshman year.
Students in the 3/2 Nursing program should designate Dr. Dana Ward to be their academic advisor after the freshman year.
