      Cyber security is a growing career field that touches multiple disciplines from computer sciences, mathematics, and behavioral science amongst others. When deciding to pursue a career in cyber security it is important to understand the education, training, and experience needed to reach your goals. This lecture will provide an overview of the cyber security field. In addition to a discussion on specific roles within cyber security, this lecture will discuss how research and development occurs to deliver at the speed needed within cyber security. Examining various research and applied programs will help to provide an understanding of the research field today and how multiple disciplines are leveraged to tackle these issues.
