Speaker: Scott Weiss
In 1950, Alan Turing proposed a game to help determine if a computer could think, now called the Turing Test. In 1990, Hugh Loebner established a $100,000 cash prize awarded to someone who designed a program to pass the test. In this talk, we’ll look at how the test works and how well this year’s competitors did.
SmallTalk is an informal colloquium series on topics related to Mathematics and Computer Science. Talks are limited to 30 minutes. Refreshments provided by the Mount MAA and ACM Student Chapters.
