Criminal Justice Major


Students majoring in criminal justice are required to complete SOC 100, CJUST 105, CJUST 110, CJUST 115, SOC 307, CJUST 317, CJUST 318, SOC 403, SOC 404 and SOC 405. In close consultation with a faculty advisor, criminal justice majors also are required to complete three additional and integrated elective courses (may be criminal justice and/or sociology) that are most appropriate to their needs.

ACCELERATED B.A. IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE

This degree-completion program is described in the Non-Traditional Undergraduate Program section. (Open only to students in the Division of Continuing Studies.)

DOUBLE MAJOR IN SOCIOLOGY/CRIMINAL JUSTICE

Double major requirements are SOC 100, SOC 106, CJUST 105, CJUST 110, CJUST 115, SOC 300, SOC 307, CJUST 317, CJUST 318, SOC 403, SOC 404, SOC 405, and three CJUST electives plus four SOC electives.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE MINOR

The criminal justice minor includes the completion of CJUST 110 and five other criminal justice courses, at least three of which should be at the 300 or 400 level.
