Share Social Science Inequality Panel Discussion
Economics, Education, Political Science, and Sociology will be represented at a panel discussion on April 4th, from 7-8:30 pm in Knott Auditorium. Social scientists are interested in social stratification and inequality. To better understand the causes and consequences of inequality—ranging from economic inequality to educational inequality—social science researchers carefully examine the historical, economic, cultural, and social factors that give rise to inequality. The central questions addressed in this multidisciplinary panel are these: Why is there social inequality? What are its consequences? What can be done to reduce it? The distinguished panel members will examine and discuss social inequality from a variety of perspectives.
This event is co-sponsored by the School of Education and Human Services, the Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business, and the College of Liberal Arts.
