Dr. Julie Coiro opened the 2nd Annual MTI with a keynote address on the importance of teaching online reading comprehension. Forty-Five attendees participated in one of the three hands-on sessions on pencasting and screencasting, QR codes, or how to use Tumblr, Facebook, and Twitter in the classroom. The day included presentations from Dr. Sarah Lohnes Watulak on designing lessons that move beyond technology skills and Dr. William Kist on his journey to the socially networked classroom.
"This is one of the finest technology classes I have taken. I learned more new ideas in this class than in many other classes."
