Beyond the Classroom
Apply your knowledge through research or an internship. Mount accounting students have worked with faculty mentors on research topics such as the effects of the Sarbanes-Oxley act on public accounting and Analyzing the Google IPO. Regional and national employers regularly host Mount students as interns, and many opportunities are available in the nearby Frederick business community, Maryland’s fastest growing area.
In addition, accounting students develop leadership skills and professional connections through membership in the Accounting Club and with other student opportunities.
