Dr. Kirk Davidson, Morrison Professor of International Studies, Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business is heading to China and India this fall to continue his research and explore further the nature and status of corporate social responsibility in China and India.

Ray Speciale, Associate Professor of Business Law and Accounting, author of two prestigious textbooks on aviation law, will spend a sabbatical this fall completing three articles he is writing on aviation law and accounting. The first article “Squaring the FARs and IRS Ticket Tax Rules: An Excise in Futility?” The article reviews updated IRS rules related to the “ticket tax” excise tax on aircraft used for commercial purposes. Unfortunately, owners and lessees of business aircraft are faced with confusing and often conflicting rules from the FAA and the IRS. The Bolte School welcomes Mr. Terry McCune as a course developer and instructor in the area of government acquisition and contracting. Terry has extensive experience in government contracting and served for many years as a contract manager with the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA). Terry will be developing and teaching contracting courses that the Bolte School will deliver in Frederick to USAMRAA employees and the general public. The Maryland Higher Education Commission has approved the Bolte School’s request to begin offering a new graduate certificate program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The post-baccalaureate certificate will enable the Bolte School to continue to provide a challenging and relevant academic program of graduate and professional studies that reinforces the development of analytical, strategy-specific, decision-making, and problem-solving skills delivered within a framework of ethical and socially responsible behavior....Click here to read more.

Being a sport management major, my dream has always been to work for a professional baseball organization.
