French Honor Society
PI DELTA PHI
The University invites membership in Pi Delta Phi, the National French Honor Society. The Society recognizes outstanding scholarship in French language and its literatures, seeks to increase the knowledge and appreciation of Americans for the cultural contributions of the French-speaking world, and to stimulate and encourage French cultural activities. Undergraduates may be nominated for membership in recognition of their academic achievement after completing one semester of upper division French, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in French and overall. ALPHA MU GAMMA
Students of French may apply for membership in Alpha Mu Gamma, the National Foreign Language Honor Society. Students are admitted into the society by achieving the grade of A in two three-credit French courses at the intermediate college level or above and an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. JOSEPH W. YEDLICKA AWARDS
IN RECOGNITION OF SUPERIOR ACHIEVEMENT IN THE STUDY OF
THE FRENCH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE
The awards are designed to enable undergraduate Regular Members of an active chapter to continue their studies of the French language and literature. There are several awards among which are:

The American University of Paris, France - Full tuition summer scholarship to Avignon, France,
awarded by The Institute of American Universities
The above are accompanied by a Pi Delta Phi Travel Grant
covering transportation up to $1,500.00 and some living
expenses. - Full tuition summer session scholarship and some living
