    • Punk Rock Show Time: 7:30p - 9:00p Location: Knott Auditorium Details:

This special event brings student performers together with a faculty panel to examine, discuss, and rock out to punk music. Punk rock gave voice to the social unrest of the late cold war and was used to forward a variety of agendas ranging from social justice to anarchy to anti-hate. Mount faculty Dr. David Cloutier (Theology) and Dr. Tim Wolfe (Sociology) will join Dr. Mark Carlson in a discussion of this controversial yet much loved style. The Mount Lab Bands and alumni will perform.   The performance and discussion are free and open to the public.

    • Fall Theatre Mainstage Production of "Clybourne Park" Time: 8:00p - 10:00p Location: Horning Theater Details:

CLYBOURNE PARK, a play by Bruce Norris

The winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2012 Tony Award for Best Play, CLYBOURNE PARK has been described as a "response" to Lorraine Hansberry's "Raisin In The Sun". Describing the history of a Chicago neighborhood, Norris tells us a fifty-year long story of how race, economics, diversity, changing neighborhoods, and gentrification affect the residents of one very specific house. Serious and satirical at once, CLYBOURNE PARK is a play that challenges our cultural assumptions at every turn.

      Thursday/Friday/Saturday, 8:00pm

      Sunday, 2:00pm matinee

      All tickets $7.00/each
