Collosseum in Rome
Italian students may choose to study abroad and visit the Colosseum, which is considered one of the greatest works in Roman architecture.

The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures proudly offers courses in the Italian language which can be applied to an interdisciplinary major or minor and is currently working on developing a full major in Italian.

Interdisciplinary Minor Requirements

Students may choose to do a student-designed minor in Italian. This consists of 18 credit hours, of which a minimum of 12 credit hours must be taken at Mount St. Mary’s.

Students interested in this minor should check with the chair of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and work in consultation with an appropriate faculty member in the language.
