      Regiestration is now closed, but walk-ins are welcomed.

      Designed specifically for students and families beginning the college search process, Sunday Visits are offered on select weekends throughout the fall and spring. These programs include an information session with our highly trained and qualified student leaders, a student-led campus tour, along with the option to eat lunch in our dining hall and/or attend Mass at the Grotto. (Noon Mass normally ends after 1 p.m., so we encourage any family interested in attending Mass to register for the 2:30 p.m. session.) *Participants can choose from scheduled discussions at 1 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. A guided tour will follow each discussion time and last approximately 45 minutes.

      Accepted high school seniors are invited to experience the Mount first-hand during this Sunday to Monday program. Visiting students will be hosted by current Mount freshmen and will have the opportunity to attend first-year classes in our Veritas program during the day on Monday. Host and student match-ups are made based on gender and availability of hosts. On Monday, parents will attend presentations in the Cardinal Keeler Seminary Dining Room from different departments on campus including admissions, financial aid, social justice, academics, career center, public safety, residence life, center for student diversity, and campus ministry. An optional student-led campus tour will be offered at the conclusion of the program.

      JLove is a pro-liberation, anti-racist, hip-hop feminist who has spent over two decades working on issues of social justice, race, and gender. The activist, social entrepreneur, and lecturer has also authored or co-edited five books. Her articles on hip-hop culture, white privilege, and social justice have appeared in The New York Times, Self Magazine, The Source Magazine, among other outlets.

      The event will run from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12 and will continue from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014.

      Judging will occur on Thursday at 7 p.m.

    • SmallTalk: The COMAP Math Modeling Competition Time: 12:30p - 1:30p Location: Laughlin Auditorium Details:

      The COMAP competition is the world’s largest math modeling competition, drawing thousands of teams from schools worldwide.  This year’s questions asked about how the rules for passing affect highway traffic flow and how to determine the best college coach in NCAA history.

      This year’s participants include Emily Rodriguez, Lindsay Sneeringer, Sean Stanley on one team, Joe Lesniewski, Maria Marinelli, and Christian Winkle on another, and Joe Appleton and Kelly Dawkins on a third.  Members from each team will be present their solutions.

      SmallTalk is an informal colloquium series on topics related to Mathematics and Computer Science. Talks are limited to 30 minutes. Refreshments provided by the Mount MAA and ACM Student Chapters.

    • Theatre Spring Mainstage Production of MERE MORTALS Time: 8:00p - 10:00p Location: Horning Theater Details:

      Mere Mortals is a collection of one-act comedies written by a master of "short form playwriting," David Ives. In this collection, Ives gives us widely divergent situations, from construction workers on a lunch break to mayflies on their first (and last!) date to a man waking up and deciding to become impressionist painter Edgar Degas. Sometimes irreverent, sometimes touching, sometimes serious, and sometimes ridiculous-David Ives's plays display the wide range of expression possible within the one-act form.

      Dr. Murry is an historian of early modern Europe with areas of research interest including Renaissance Florence and the relationship between religion and politics.

      Mere Mortals is a collection of one-act comedies written by a master of "short form playwriting," David Ives. In this collection, Ives gives us widely divergent situations, from construction workers on a lunch break to mayflies on their first (and last!) date to a man waking up and deciding to become impressionist painter Edgar Degas. Sometimes irreverent, sometimes touching, sometimes serious, and sometimes ridiculous-David Ives's plays display the wide range of expression possible within the one-act form.
