Fr. James Martin, SJ, is the editor at large of America magazine and author of numerous books, most recently Between Heaven and Mirth: Why Joy, Humor and Laughter are at the Heart of the Spiritual Life (2011). His first e-book, Together on Retreat: Meeting Jesus in Prayer, was released last month. He is also the author of several other books including The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything" and My Life with the Saints (over 100,000 copies sold), which Publishers Weekly named one of the Best Books of 2006. Father Martin is a frequent commentator in the national and international media, and has appeared in such diverse venues as NPR’s Fresh Air with Terry Gross, Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report (for which he has been named "The Colbert Report Chaplain"), as well as in The New York Times, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, the History Channel, BBC and Vatican Radio. Before entering the Jesuits in 1988 he graduated from the Wharton School of Business and worked with General Electric for several years. He lives in New York City and assists at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola.

This Pre-law talk will be given by Lawrence J. Morris, Esq. who currently serves as general counsel at Catholic University of America.
Before joining CUA in 2011, Mr. Morris served 27 years in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. of the Army, retiring as a colonel.
